ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Happy September! We spent today driving around looking at houses...as we are gluttons for punishment. Hey...one of these days we may see our dream home marked down 60%. Ya never know.
This is the country road that leads to my (current) dream home.
Anyway...today is day one of the blog-tember challenge and the prompt is: "Imagine the front sleeve of a hard cover novel. Give us your "About the Author" so we can get to know one another, and for fun tell us what your imaginary novel would be about."

I would love to actually see my name on the cover of a novel...so you'd think this would be easy. Turns out...talking about yourself in third person is très awkward.

I'm Tricia. I'm a Texas girl married to my Texas boy. I graduated Dallas Baptist University with a degree in communication. I'm an avid reader, freelance graphic designer, and wannabee teacher/author/professional shopper. I love Jesus, my husband, country drives and live music. I am obsessed with Cowboys football and Rangers baseball (this season is a stinker!). I'm on a mission to lose weight, get organized, and basically...save the day. I usually get sidetracked by Pinterest or the Real Housewives of Wherever (Melbourne is my new favorite). One of these days I'll have it all together. Probably.

I love to read, and think it would be fun to one day attempt to write my own book. I'd like to write something about a thirty-something girl whose life hasn't turned out quite like she imagined. She'd set out on a mission to dust off those old dreams and chase after the life she thinks she wants. Surely there would be some heartache, drama and hilarity along the way. That's the way journeys work, right?

  1. Thanks for visiting my blog & leaving a kind note! Yes, life is definitely a journey with so many unexpected twists & turns. I love your idea for a book & hope to one day see it on a book store shelf. Hope you have a blessed week! Thanks for your prayers, praying for you, too.
    Blessings,

  2. Realhousewives of Melbourne sound fascinating, those kind of shows always suck me in too! Your book idea sounds great, you should totally write it, maybe after they cancel all the housewives shows you'll have some time!

    Have an awesome day :)
